In my high school years, I produced many video productions. As an alternative to presenting an oral report, I would often create a video that was only loosely associated with the academic requirement of the assignment. Examples of this were my "Three's Company / Hamlet" video where the characters Jack Tripper and Hamlet were transposed, and the sci-fi classic "Star Trek: The Crucible" where the persecuted character of Abigail Williams becomes a parasitic alien bent on possessing the entire crew of the Starship Enterprise.
Technology has come a long way since those days. We shot these videos on Compact VHS, far inferior to any other video format, and I edited the footage together using two VHS VCRs. To create the fantastic illusions and special effects in these old videos, I used an Amiga computer and the SuperGen Genlock. Both these technologies are now long obsolete, but they served us well at the time. Click on an image below to view the video! High School Productions: (1990 - 1993)
