David McLean
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Full-time Chairman & CEO of the McLean Group since he left a successful law practice in 1985, David McLean leads our management team. Mr McLean is a leader in the Canadian business community and an outspoken champion of entrepreneurship with a proven track record taking large and growing enterprises through transforming transactions such as the IPO of CN Railway, the then largest IPO in Canadian history. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Canadian National Railway Company in mid-1994 before being elected Chairman in December 1994 a position he retains over a decade later. He was Chairman of the Vancouver Board of Trade for the 1992/93-term and Founding Chairman of the Vancouver Board of Trade Foundation. Mr. McLean was also Chairman of the 170,000-member Canadian Chamber of Commerce for the same period and continues to have active involvement in both organizations. For many years, he was Chairman and a Director on the Board of Concord Pacific Group Inc., a public real estate company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which was privatized in December 2002. He has been a director for other corporations, including DeHavilland Aircraft of Canada, Northwestel Inc., Canac Consultants Limited and NuWest Group. He was the Founding Chairman of Westech Information Systems, the former information systems arm of B.C. Hydro, and led the company through privatization from its parent company. He was Chairman of the Board of Coastland Wood Industries, a high-tech plywood veneer mill located on Vancouver Island. He has recently been featured in several national publications as a leader in the area of corporate governance and management succession. Mr. McLean has a keen interest in education. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of British Columbia, and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Canadian Studies at the University of California at Berkeley. He was founding Chairman of the Centre for North American Business Studies at Simon Fraser University, and is currently co-chair of the University of Albertas capital campaign. In March 1994, he was chosen by the University of Alberta, where he received his undergraduate and law degrees, as one of the founding 16 alumni inductees into the "Alumni Wall of Recognition". Mr. McLean was honoured by Simon Fraser University in February, 1995 receiving their Distinguished Community Leadership Award. In March 1995, he was awarded the Community Leadership Award by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Vancouver. At 1994 spring convocations, Mr. McLean was awarded Honorary Doctor of Laws degrees by both the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta. At a 2004 fall convocation, Simon Fraser University conferred on him his third Honourary Doctorate of Laws. He has been active in numerous projects to preserve Canada's wetlands, and was a member of the Board of Ducks Unlimited Canada. In other interests, he is an honorary patron of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, a member of the Advisory Board of the Sunny Hill Foundation for Children, a patron of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, a former Scoutmaster, recent Chairman of the Duke of Edinburgh Award's Charter for Business, and holds the rank of Knight of Justice in the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem. In June 1999, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia appointed Mr. McLean to the Order of British Columbia.

Sacha McLean
President and Chief Operating Officer
Vancouver Film Studios
Sacha McLean is President and/or Chief Operating Office of an integrated, dynamic group of companies with business interests in film production (Vancouver Film Studios), telecommunications (Signal Systems), production equipment rentals (Pacific Backlot Services) and aviation (Blackcomb Helicopters LP). Sacha has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. He joined The McLean Group, a family owned and managed group of B.C. based businesses in 1996 where he was instrumental in the formation and expansion of Vancouver Film Studios into one of the largest and most successful production facilities in Canada. In 2004, Sacha lead the successful development of Pacific Backlot Services, a lighting, grip & film equipment rental company. Sachas telecommunications company, Signal Systems, soon followed with successful business divisions established in IP telephony, two-way radios, repeater tower construction & maintenance, and retail sales. Prior to joining The McLean Group, Sacha worked in corporate development with a major passenger railroad carrier. Sacha is a commercial helicopter pilot and past member of the Vancouver Airport Advisory Board. He is currently a board member of the Whistler Film Festival.

Jason McLean
President and Chief Operating Officer
The McLean Group of Companies
Jason became President of the McLean Group in 2004 after two years managing the legal and corporate affairs of the business as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. He is responsible for the McLean Group parent companies and coordinates the dialog between ownership and management as well as corporate planning and governance. Jason is responsible for negotiating all major transactions including mortgage and lease financing; the purchase or sale of real estate holdings and other assets; and major commercial contracts including leases. Recently, he played a central role in a transformative refinancing of Vancouver Film Studios. He coordinates the administrative and legal side of our various businesses and oversees the management and leasing of our award winning heritage building, The Landing. Before joining the McLean Group, Jason worked for the Office of the Prime Minister as a Special Assistant, leading the advance teams for international and domestic visits including organizing G8 consultations in Africa, APEC and NATO meetings in China and Europe, and major trade missions to Germany and the United States. Previously, Jason was with Stikeman Elliot in Vancouver, having articled with the firm and worked as a student in the London office, where he concentrated on commercial real estate, corporate transactions and securities law. Jason was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Laws in 1999 and Bachelor of Arts in 1995, both from the University of British Columbia. Jason is a Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade and chairs its Small Business Council. He is an enthusiastic outdoorsman with a background in mountaineering, including climbing a remote northern route on Mt. McKinley and some lesser ramblings in Nepal, Tibet and Alaska but has recently replaced his ice axe with a fly fishing rod.

Pete Mitchell
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Peter is responsible for marketing all of Vancouver Film Studios services to our customer base and keeping the stages full. As he is also responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive production experience and as the senior non-family executive at VFS, Peter plays a key role in guiding and coordinating our staff towards this important goal. Peter is also immediate past Chair of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia, an industry marketing/lobby group comprised of 30 film and television related companies, unions and organizations and now leads that organizations government affairs committee. Before joining the McLean Group, Peter was the Director of the British Columbia Film Commission from 1995 to 1999. Prior to this he was a partner in Compass Research and a business agent for the International Photographers Guild, I.A.T.S.E. Peter attended the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1989 with a Master of Business Administration. He completed a degree in Communication Studies at Concordia University in 1986 and received his diplôme détudés collégiales from John Abbott College in 1982. Peter is an avid sailor and when not bringing in production deals can be seen plying the waters of the Georgia Strait in his beloved Crackerjack.

Norman J. Elliot
Senior Vice President, Finance
A Certified General Accountant, Norman has been with the McLean Group for more than 16 years. He has general accounting responsibility for all McLean Group companies, including the motion picture facilities and services businesses, and is involved with managing human resources for all companies. Previously, Norman worked for a land development and property management company with significant holdings in the Lower Mainland. Norman works closely with other members of senior management on financing, banking, budgeting, insurance, and leads a team of accounting professionals to deliver accounting services and financial advice to suit our unique needs.

Kenny Diebel
Vice President, Construction
Kenny Diebel has been with the McLean Group since 1990 and is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of construction and renovation projects as well as general operations, building maintenance, tenant services, and municipal approvals. He is a key player in maintaining the healthy landlord tenant relationship that has served us so well. Mr. Diebel is an expert in building systems and specializes in the management of the many contractors associated with commercial real estate development. Kenny is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Urban Land Economics Course.

Scott Evans
Vice President, Construction
Scott Evans is responsible for our lighting and grip and production equipment rental business, Pacific Backlot Services. He runs the day-to-day operations and works with management on growing the business. Scott joined the VFS team in 2004 after a distinguished career of over 20 years in the production services industry. He was most recently General Manager of William F. White in Vancouver and previously worked for Paramount Production Support as Director of Canadian Operations. Prior to this, Scott worked for Cannell Films in backlot services where he also focussed on systems analysis, business planning, and real estate. He remains a current member of IATSE and began his career working in the lighting department on various film and television productions.

Rob Stewart
Vice President, Business Development
Rob was appointed Vice President, Business Development in 2004 after two years as Vice President, Administration. Rob has been a key player in generating new sources of revenue through ancilliary services and continues to manage the administrative side of our production equipment rental arm, Pacific Backlot Services. Rob has a background in human resources management and business planning having worked in the insurance industry as an account executive and also as a consultant with an human resources firm. Rob studied general arts at UBC and has a diploma in human resources management from BCIT and a diploma in marketing management from Talahasee Community College in Florida.

Natasha Dickson
Vice President, Operations
Natasha is responsible for day-to-day operations at VFS. From telephones to furniture, building maintenance to security, Natasha is ultimately responsible for the prompt and professional delivery of facilities and services to our customers. Natasha joined us in 2000 and quickly demonstrated her talent, for customer service and managing people, eventually becoming Vice President, Operations in 2004. Now with the most number of direct staff of all McLean Group companies, Natasha and her team keep the trains running on time and our customers happy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from UBC and received her post-diploma in human resources management from BCIT shortly thereafter.

Greg Gaumont
Controller
Greg is responsible for the ongoing implementation and maintenance of a top-quality accounting, financial reporting, and financial control system that is adapted to the unique needs of Vancouver Film Studios and our place in the industry. He is exclusively focused on our film studios businesses, including Pacific Backlot Services, and is a key link between our operations staff and our financial management. Greg is a Certified Management Accountant and was previously corporate controller of British Columbias largest mobile ship repair company for fourteen years. Before that, Greg had several controller and accountant positions across Western Canada including significant stints with an oil services company, a steel fabrication company and several real estate development firms.
