CFI, the exciting subsidiary of BCFerries, had several upcoming communications needs before the completion of the new catamaran fast ferries. They wanted to show people what the ferries would look like inside and out. Created in parallel with a traditional print and ad campaign by the Myron Balagno & Associates ad agency, the CD-ROM was most recently shown at the Fast Ferry Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The CD-ROM is one of the most sophisticated ever created for corporate communications, acting as three communications services in one: technical specifications of the Pacificat with all design options clearly diagrammed, a corporate video which discusses the history and corporate directions of the company, and as a virtual walk-through of the entire craft, from Vehicle Deck, to the Passenger Lounge, to the Engine Room. |

![]() The tour begins in the vehicle deck. The CFI Pacificat has the advantage of loading and unloading in the same fashion as our existing ferries, allowing cars and trucks to proceed forwards to exit the craft. Many fast ferries from other designers across the world actually require the ferry to turn around before docking! Besides the dual hulls, the interior design of the new fast ferries is probably the most dramatic, with modern materials and designer colours. There are dozens of advantages to the CFI Fast Ferries, which make them one of the finest fast ferry designers in the world, and a company British Columbians should be proud of. |
