CP Hotels
January 1998

The Vancouver Airport Authority, in reaction to increased traffic at the Airport, decided to combine the Airport improvement with the construction of a new, first-class hotel on the site. Accepting proposals from 33 international hotel developers from across the world, CP Hotels was the only of the group to submit a business plan which involved a multimedia component - a CD-ROM was included in the package. The decision was made which awarded the contract to CP Hotels. We worked in conjunction with Ethereal Graphics and Animation who created the 3-D imagery, Andrishak Design Group who designed the print component, IBI Architects who designed the building, and Hirsch-Bedner & Associates who created the interior design.

The CD-ROM was primarily a traditional business plan, but the Proposed Building Design had an interactive 3-D model of the hotel. By clicking on the various parts of the hotel such as the Entry Pavilion, users could view the space virtually.
